Learn how to make a copper bowl in just one day at Studio Budgie Galore. This class is a great introduction to working in copper sheet to hammer form your own unique bowl.
With guidance from your tutor, you will learn how to heat metal and form a flat sheet by blocking/sinking using a specialist hammer and sandbag. You will then learn how to form the metal as much or little as you wish to create a bowl that is truly unique. Finally when you reach your desired shape you will learn how to planish the piece to give a lovely even hammered surface.
All materials are included in the cost of this workshop. Tea, coffee and biscuits are also included.
The workshop is fun and informative and no previous experience is needed but is also suitable for those with previous jewellery and metalworking experience.
